I’m on the run.

Beaten and bruised physically and emotionally. I don’t know if my Master is dead or alive and there are people trying to track me down. But I don’t want to be found. Especially not by the guy who violated me.

Scared, hurting, and with nowhere to go, I’m picked up on the highway by a papa bear in a bright red semi and as the miles begin to stretch out leaving California in the rear-view mirror, my healing process begins.

But a journey to recovery is not without landmines. Nor without a circle of people that love you, a chosen family that includes a gay bear with a heart bigger than his belly, his lace-loving husband, and a slobbering bullmastiff, named Jewel. What were the chances of a name like that?
